Repentance (Tawbah) and forgiveness in Islam

In Islam, repentance (Tawbah) and forgiveness are essential concepts that play a significant role in the spiritual life of Muslims.

Repentance (Tawbah):

Sincere Regret:-

Repentance begins with a genuine sense of remorse and regret for one's sins. It involves recognizing that a mistake has been made.

Ceasing the Sin:-

The person must immediately stop committing the sinful act. Continuing the sin while repenting is not considered genuine repentance.

Seeking Forgiveness:-

Muslims are encouraged to turn to Allah (God) in prayer and supplication, seeking His forgiveness for their sins. This often includes reciting specific supplications for forgiveness known as Istighfar.

Making Amends:-

If the sin has harmed others, it's essential to make amends or seek forgiveness from those affected, whenever possible.

Resolve Not to Repeat:-

True repentance involves a sincere commitment to avoiding the sin in the future. It's about making a conscious effort to lead a better, more righteous life.

Forgiveness in Islam:

KIND SPEECH AND FORGIVENESS ARE BETTER THAN CHARITY FOLLOWED BY INJURY. AND ALLAH IS FREE OF NEED AND FORBEARING."
- [Quran, 2:263]
Preparing for the Hereafter:-
Muslims believe in the concept of accountability in the Hereafter. Forgiving others is seen as a way to secure Allah's forgiveness on Judgment Day

Allah's Mercy:-

Islam teaches that Allah is the Most Merciful and Forgiving. There are numerous verses in the Quran that emphasize Allah's willingness to forgive those who sincerely repent.

Conditions for Forgiveness:-

While Allah is forgiving, His forgiveness is contingent on genuine repentance. Sins can be forgiven if one repents sincerely and turns back to Allah.

Intercession:-

In Islamic tradition, the intercession of prophets or righteous individuals can also play a role in seeking Allah's forgiveness on behalf of sinners.

Ramadan:-

The month of Ramadan is considered a time of increased forgiveness and mercy, and Muslims seek forgiveness through fasting, prayers, and increased acts of worship during this month.

In summary, repentance and forgiveness are intertwined concepts in Islam. Repentance involves recognizing one's sins, seeking forgiveness from Allah, and making a sincere effort to change. Allah's forgiveness is readily available to those who genuinely repent, and it is a central aspect of Islamic faith and practice.

Cleanliness

Islam attaches great importance to both personal cleanliness and cleanliness in the surrounding environment. Wudu is mandatory before prayer.
Cleanliness has an important place in Islam. Many acts of worship in Islam necessitate that one is physically and ritually pure. For example, one cannot perform Salaah or touch the Quran if one has not performed Wudhuu.

Physical activity:-

Islam promotes physical fitness through acts of worship, such as regular prayer (namaz) that involve physical activity.
Engaging in permitted sports and activities is also encouraged.

It should be kept in mind that the Prophet and his companions were naturally and physically healthy.
Life at that time was difficult, long distances were covered on foot, people hunted and farmed for food to survive, and entertainment such as television did not exist, which encouraged laziness and wastage of time .
At that time it was almost taken for granted that believers (Muslims) would be physically fit. It was not until later generations that the learned were suffering from obesity and laziness. May Allah protect us like him.
Aameen summa aameen

"Boxing is not allowed in Islam because a Muslim should not punch people in the face. Islam encourages exercise and sports, but Muslims must be careful that their exercise does not lead them to something that is unacceptable".

Mental Health:-

Islam encourages seeking knowledge, introspection and self-improvement. In Islam, Muslims are taught to pray and to be patient in difficult times.

And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient,
(SURAH AL-BAQARAH AYAT 2:155)"

Sleep and rest

Islam says to take proper rest and sleep for our health. islam teaches us get 6-7 hours of sleep per night, it is enough for our health
"Narrated `Abdullah bin Amr
"Allah's Messenger ﷺ said, "O Abdullah! Have I not been formed that you fast all the day and stand in prayer all night?"
I said, "Yes,
ﷺ said, "Do not do that! Observe the fast sometimes and also leave them (the fast) at other times; stand up for the prayer at night and also sleep at night. Your body has a right over you, your eyes have a right over you and your wife has a right over you."

Abstaining from harmful substances:-

Islam has strict prohibitions on alcohol and drugs, promoting a healthy lifestyle and preventing addiction. alcohol is haram in islam.
"Allah says in Quran
"They ask you (0 Muhammad) concerning alcoholic drink and gambling. Say: In them is a great sin, and (some) benefits for men, but the sin of them is greater than their benefit""

Sahih Muslim, 6235

Narrated 'Abu Hurairah (ra):
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Every Muslim has five rights over another Muslim (i.e., he has to perform five duties for another Muslim): to return the greetings, to visit the sick, to accompany funeral processions, to accept an invitation, to respond to the sneezer [i.e., to say: 'Yarhamuk-Allah (may Allah bestow His Mercy on you),' when the sneezer praises Allah]"
Riyad as-Salihin, The Book of Visiting the Sick Book 7, Hadith 895 [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

Islam encourages a balanced approach to work and rest, promoting a healthy work-life balance.

Humans who mismanage natural resources, including excessive environmental exploitation, resulting in industrial pollution, damage to ecosystems, and mismanagement of natural resources, are detestable to God Almighty, as the verses of the Qur'an make clear . To appear:

"And they quarrel and create mischief in the whole earth, and Allah does not like mischief-makers.

(Quran. 5: 64)

The Rise and Evolution of the World of Islam

The Rise and Evolution of the World of Islam

Alhamdulillah; Islam is the first religion around the world but some people believe that Islam came to the world 1400 years ago but it is not true. Because Islam is in the world from the time of Adam. adam is prophet. Adam and Hawwa were the first humans in the world, and Adam is first Prophet.

Allah sent messengers and prophets from time to time for the guidance of people.
حضرت آدم علیہ اسلام (Hazrat Adam A.S)
حضرت ابراہیم علیہ السلام,(Hazrat Ibrahim A.S)
حضرت نوح علیہ السلام (Hazart Nooh A.S)
حضرت موسیٰ علیہ السلام  ( Hazrat Moosa A.S),
حضرت یوسف علیہ السلام (Hazart Yusu A.S),
حضرت داؤد علیہ السلام Hazrat Dawood A.S), and
حضرت عیسیٰ علیہ السلام (Hazrat ISA A.S),
among many others prophet, brought the message of the Allah is one.
They all believed that Allah is one and told everyone that you should believe in one Allah and forbade believe anyone to be equal or superior from Allah. However, Allah chose his last messenger, prophet Mohammad ﷺ to spread the message of Islam for the last time.

Origin of Islam:-

Islam religion came again on the hot and barren land of Arabia by Prophet Mohammad. The Arab people were immersed in the darkness of ignorance. Rich and powerful people deprived the poor of their fundamental rights. Deceit, treachery, vandalism, theft, bribery, womanizing and crime were common.

Prophet Muhammad, who was born and raised in Mecca, he began spreading the teachings of Islam in Saudi Arabia, and it is from here that Islam originated again. He started preaching and made many followers for himself,
however, others were against him. In the newly created world of Islam, the followers and Prophet Muhammad ﷺ faced a lot of persecution. Allah even ordered the Muslims to migrate to Medina, where the first Islamic state came into existence in Madina.Islam strengthened from Madinah as more people joined the followership of prophet Mohammad ﷺ . During his lifetime, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ converted many Arabs people in Islam.Medina Munawwara is called the city of the prophet and The Macca called the city of Allah.

Islam's teachings and worldview

There are some Muslim teachings which are mentioned below:

God is one and his name is Allah;

belief in the Quran and holy books;

Belief in special messengers (prophets) of Allah such as Moses, Isa and Muhammad etc. (the last prophet);

belief in the Day of Judgment when each person will be judged according to worldly deeds;

The belief that God's will binds us all.we also believe in good and bad fate which Allah has already written for us.

what does islam teach:-

Islam is a religion of peace. It teaches people to be kind to each other. Before the Prophet, women were considered inferior. Newborn girls were buried alive. Influential people used to usurp the property of orphans. Islam taught people to take care of each other's rights.

The status of women in Islam is very high. There is heaven at the feet of the mother. Bringing up two or more daughters brings good news of heaven. Being kind and affectionate to his wife is one of the most important duties of a husband in Islam.

The teachings of Islam promote peace, patience, humility and brotherhood. Islam teaches tolerance towards each other regardless of caste, creed, faith or gender. One should also be kind to plants and animals.

There are five pillars of Islam:-

1- Belief in the oneness of Allah.
2- Five obligatory Salah (Namaz).
3- Zakat.
4- Fasting in the month of Ramadan.
5- Hajj

Zakat shows how important social welfare is in islam religion. Islam believes in the circulation of wealth, and Muslims are required to give away a portion of their wealth annually to the poor and downtrodden. The circulation of money generates equal income for all, which is a characteristic of a progressive society.

After the demise of Prophet Mohammad ﷺ, the world of Islam began to set in all around. From the deserts of Arabia, it spread to all the corners of the world.Islam is a faith practiced by 2 billion people world-wide.

Islam is the solution to all problems. Islam is peace for people of different religions who want to understand Islam, Muslims and Quran. islam is second largest religion in world wide

Overall Allah told the prophets to convey my message to the people. All the prophets invited people to Islam.and Allah said to prophets it is my responsibility to spread Islam all over the world. so Islam is the most widely spreading religion in the world.Alhudulillah Recently 1 lakh people of Africa have accepted Islam.

Allah has told everything that will happen from the creation of the world till the end of the world in the Qur'an. Read and understand the Qur'an.  click here to know more

which I gave to her and she divided it between her two daughters, and did not eat anything herself, and then she got up and went away. Then the Prophet Mohammad ﷺ came in and I informed him about this story. He said, "Whoever is put to trial by these daughters and he treats them generously (with benevolence) then these daughters will act as a shield for him from Hell-Fire."
(See Hadith No. 24, Vol. 8) Bukhari (Book 124, Hadith #499)

Some of the responsibilities of a daughter in Islam:

  • Duty to cover oneself properly to stay safe in society.
  • Duty to uphold one's dignity.

"Our Prophet Mohammad ﷺ said if anyone has daughters, who are looks after properly, Paradise is guarenteed for him. Your daughters will become your protection on the Day of judgement.

Prophet Mohammad ﷺ also said Whoever supports two girls till they attain maturity, he and I will come close to each other on the Day of judgement. The Messenger of Allah  ﷺ joined his two fingers to illustrate closeness." [Muslim]
Islamic teachings promote gender equality and emphasize the importance of treating all family members with love, compassion, and respect, regardless of their gender.
Overall, Islam gives great importance to women, especially daughters. May Allah protect all our daughters and sisters and give them all the happiness in the world. And may Allah protect girls from every bad thing.

Nikaah (Marriage)

Nikaah

Marriage or Nikaah is of undeniable importance in Islam. It is a way for a man and a woman to fulfill their natural desires properly and in a halal manner without turning towards sin. Just as a man has the right to take pleasure from his wife, similarly the wife has the right to do the same. Intimacy and acts of affection increase the love between husband and wife which leads to a peaceful and happy family.

Those who get married save themselves from sins and Allah helps such people. Marriage is not just a union of two people but of two families. According to Islam, in marriage, husband and wife not only share their happiness, but Allah also gives them the strength to face difficulties together. Both the partners should take care of each other and respect the feelings of the spouse.
Unlike Western culture, Islam does not allow open relationships but rather encourages love and respect through marriage for a happy and successful life. In Islam, husband and wife should always be ready for sacrifice.

"As wise people say, a successful marriage requires falling in love with the same person over and over again"

Islam purifies the union of the sexes and secures the enjoyment of married relations by placing a total ban on all forms of extramarital intercourse. The Holy Qur'an emphasizes people to get married because it is the most effective means by which one can lead a virtuous life free from immorality and emotional inhibitions.

"The Holy Qur'an says: "They (your wives) are like a garment to you, and you are like a garment to them" (2:187).

Here is the correct description of the relationship between the two. Husband and wife are made for mutual support, mutual comfort and mutual protection, fit each other like clothes fit each other.

Wedding (nikah) is a sacred social commitment between wedding couple.

Allah says in Quran about Nikah:-
And how could you take it while you have gone in unto each other and they have taken from you a solemn covenant?
(Surah An-Nisa Ayat 21)

Marriage contract is not a sacrament in Islam. It is revocable, i.e. you can get divorced if you cannot live with each other

There are 4 duties of Nikah, without which Nikah will not be complete.

1- Mutual consent (Qubool) by the bride and groom.

2- Legal guardian wali (Muslim) and a wakel,

3- "two adult and Muslim witnesses representing the bride,

4-Mahr (marriage-gift) to be paid by the groom to the bride.

The Nikah ceremony, generally the following steps are follow:

Proposal and acceptance by family:-
The bridegroom or his representative proposes to the bride or her/his parents and guardian with the intention of marriage. If the bride and her /his guardians accept the proposal, a verbal agreement is established.

Mahr:-
Mahr is an essential gift that the bridegroom gives to the bride. The mahr may be in the form of money, property, or any other agreed upon gift.

Witnesses
The presence of two adult Muslim witnesses is essential during the Nikah ceremony. These witnesses must be of sound mind and of good character in order to make the marriage valid.

Khutba
A religious sermon emphasizing the importance of marriage in Islam and the responsibilities of the spouses.

Nikah Reading
The Nikahnama is read aloud by the Qazi. And both the bride and groom, as well as their representatives and witnesses, affirm their consent to the marriage.

Signing on Nikah's paper:-
The marriage papers are signed by the bride, groom and witnesses to formalize the marriage.

Reception (Waleema):-
The wedding feast (walima) is traditionally held by the groom after the nikah. It may take place immediately after the Nikah, the next day, the next week, or at a future date, but the purpose of the banquet is for the family and friends of the groom to share in his joy on the occasion of his marriage and to give thanks to Allah.

"The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ encouraged Muslims to accept invitations to attend marriage ceremonies and wedding feasts: "...and whoever refuses to accept an invitation to a marriage feast, verily disobeys Allah and His Prophet".
       [Ahmed and Abu Dawood]

"The groom does not need a Wali at the time of the marriage contract, if a person is immature or insecure, he needs a wali (guardian). However, if he is of sound mind, he does not need a Wali. but the woman does need a Wali.
 Narrated by 'aisha':
Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, "Any woman who marries without a Wali, her marriage is invalid, invalid, invalid." [Narrated by al-Tirmizi, 1102;]
Basically for Nikah both the parties accept it with mutual consent and enter into this agreement. Please keep in mind, both the bride and groom have the option to set separate terms of their choice and make them a part of this contract.
Islam has certain strict conditions for the marriage of a Muslim woman and a man. They can only marry a Muslim man/woman and if they marry a non-Muslim the marriage will not take place. If he wishes to marry her, he must convert to Islam, otherwise the marriage is invalid. Will be counted in Zina!

"Islam gives great importance to marriage and considers it as the basis of human society by removing all the evils that have crept into the human society."
Marriage is a social institution as old as mankind. It can be defined as a relationship between a man and a woman that is recognized by custom or law.

Rights of Husband and Rights of Wife in Islam

Rights of Husband and Rights of Wife in Islam

The marriage of a man and a woman is not just a financial and physical arrangement to live together, but a sacred contract, a gift from God to live a happy. The main goal of marriage in Islam is to achieve peace and compassion between husband and wife. To achieve this supreme goal, Islam defined certain duties and rights for husband and wife.
The basis of choosing a life partner is piety. There are many sayings in the Qur'an and Sunnah that recommend kindness and equality, compassion and love, sympathy and consideration.

"The prophet Muhammad  says, "The best Muslim is the one who does the best for his family." Also, he says, "...and one of the greatest joys in life is a good, righteous wife."
(Reported by at-Tirmidhi)

It is important to note that the rights and responsibilities in marriage are mutual, and both the partners are expected to fulfill their obligations towards each other with love, compassion and fairness. Islam promotes mutual respect, cooperation and partnership between husband and wife in building a harmonious family life.

"Marriage is part of my Sunnah, and whoever does not follow my Sunnah has nothing to do with me."
(Sunan Ibn Majah, Book 9, 1846-Hasan)

Husband's authority over wife:-

The main responsibility of the wife as a partner in the marital relationship is to contribute as much as possible to the success and happiness of the marriage. He should take care of the comfort and well-being of his partner. She can neither offend him nor hurt his feelings. Perhaps nothing can clarify this issue better than the Qur'an.

Some examples of a wife's obligation to her husband are:-

1- The wife should be loyal, trustworthy and honest towards her husband.

2- He should not cheat his partner by deliberately avoiding pregnancy, otherwise he will be deprived of a legitimate child.

3- She should not allow any other person access to what is exclusively the husband's right.

4- She should not allow any person in her house who is not liked by her husband.

5- A wife cannot refuse her husband for any wish. Husband said anything. wife should accept who are halal

because allah says:-
"Husband and wife are each other's clothes"

6- She cannot accept any gift or talk to anyone without her husband's approval.

7- The husband's property and his children are his trust. If she has access to property, or is entrusted with any money, he must do his duty wisely. She can neither lend nor sell anything without his permission.

8- Islam permits a man to have up to four wives under certain conditions, provided he treats all of them fairly and justly. Like every wife's clothes, food, house and husband's time etc.

9- The husband has the right to initiate divorce. They also have the right to end the marriage if they cannot live with each other anymore.

Wife's authority over her husband:-

Some examples of a husband obligation to her wife's are :-
1- Haq Mahr is the first and foremost right of a woman after marriage. It is a payment in the form of money or property given by the groom to the bride at the time of marriage, which legally becomes her property.
While the haq Mahr is often money, it can be anything agreed upon by the bride such as jewelry, household items, or some land. Mahr is usually specified in the marriage contract signed during an Islamic marriage.
2- The most important responsibility of a husband is to maintain his wife. He should do so according to his status and social norms,She has the right to get food, clothing and shelter from her husband. The husband is bound to support his wife in all the basic needs of life.

Allah says in Quran:
"No one's soul should be burdened beyond its capacity, no mother should suffer because of her child, no father should suffer because of his child."(Surah Al-Baqarah Ayat 233)

3- The important right of the wife is that she should be treated with kindness and importance. The Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ emphasized this many times. Sharia advises men to provide comforts to their wives.

4- The wife has every right to get financial and physical help from the husband for her every need.

5-The husband should treat his wife with kindness, respect and fairness. He should not abuse her physically or verbally.

6-The wife has the right to privacy and personal space. Her husband should respect her privacy. And nothing personal should be disclosed to anyone without his permission.

7- Husband should help his wife in domestic matters

8-A husband has no right to keep his wife at home without any reasonable cause or prevent her from visiting her parents, relatives or friends and they can also come to her house.

"This is my opinion.
You should stand by your wife when your family is wrong and your wife is right
Remember that she gave up everything to be with you.

9-The husband has the right to initiate divorce.
But the wife has the right to seek divorce under certain circumstances like abuse or neglect. Islamic law provides for various divorce procedures, including open, where the wife can initiate the divorce. In Islam it is called Khula.

10-A woman can remarry after her divorce or after the death of her husband.

The marriage of a man and a woman in Islam is not just a financial and physical arrangement to live together, but a sacred contract, a gift from God to live a happy, blissful life and continue the lineage. The main goal of marriage in Islam is to achieve peace and compassion between husband and wife.

The messenger of Allah ( ﷺ )said:
"Take my advice regarding women, be kind to women, because they are made of a rib, and the crookedest part of a rib is its top. If you try to straighten it;you will break it, and if you leave it alone it will remain crooked; so act kindly toward women"
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

I can't explain all the rights
Because husband and wife have many rights in Islam. The main rights is Husn-e-Salook and affection.

Rights of one person over another in Islam. (Haqooq ul Ibad)

Rights of one person over another in Islam. (Haqooq ul Ibad)

Haqooq ul Ibad deals with the rights and duties of one soul towards another and includes the practices of Sadaqah and Zakat. This includes being kind and having empathy for fellow human beings. This includes blood relations, strangers, fellow Muslims and non-Muslims. It involves using our time, money and efforts or energy to make an effort for others.

ISLAM does not call for EQUALITY
... It calls for
JUSTICE

In Islam, relationships between individuals are guided by a set of rights and responsibilities. These rights are based on the principles of justice, equality and mutual respect.
However there are many rights that apply to different aspects of human relationships.
we are highlights some Islamic fundamental rights of a person over another person:

Basis of Human Rights in Islam:-
Human rights are fundamental rights in Islam. Islam accepts and institutionalizes the basic principles and rights of life, liberty, security and justice.
Hence there is also more emphasis on punishment for social misdeeds punishment by Muslim low or court like theft, murder, slander, indecency, sexual harassment etc.

Your Spouse's Rights:

Husband-wife relationship is most important after parent-child relationship. The relationship of husband and wife is to become each other's cover and pillar. To support and protect each other and be the best partner. The rights and duties they have towards each other are not entirely unidirectional as is commonly misunderstood and presented. Rather, it applies to both partners. The basic purpose of marital relations is to protect from zina and to improve and strengthen each other in piety.
"After these basic relations, the rights of relatives, neighbors, teachers, orphans etc. form the basis of communal balance and help integrate the society".

Neighbors rights:-

Your neighbor's right in Islam is that you should be his guardian when he is absent, and that you should respect him when he is present, and you should help and support him in both situations.click here to know more

You should not find any fault in him. But if you happen to inadvertently discover a mistake on his part, you should put up a strong defense and cover up about what you know.

"The Prophet mohmmed said. "He is not a true believer who eats his fill while his neighbour is hungry".(No matter what religion your neighbor belongs to)

'ALLAH SAYS:
"Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah; and those who are with him are strong against Unbelievers, (but) compassionate amongst each other."
(SAHIH BUKHARI)

Haqooq-ul- ibad is also important for improving and building piety as a heart that is mindful of Allah will not neglect fellow creatures.

Teacher's rights:-
Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) emphasized the importance of acquiring knowledge and considered teachers to be key figures in society. In Islamic traditions, parents are considered to be the first teachers for their children. However, formal education is also given utmost importance,

The prophet Mohammad ﷺ said:
The seeking of knowledge is obligatory for every Muslim.
(Al Tirmidhi, hadith 74.)

The Prophet Mohammad ﷺ said:
"God, his angels and all those in heavens and on earth, even ants in their hills and fish in the water, call down blessings on those who instruct others in beneficial knowledge"
Al Tirmidhi, Hadith 74
Islam has taught us to respect our teachers as you respect your parents. The status and respect of teachers in our religion Islam is so high that our teachers are given the same status as our parents.

"Prophet Mohammad ﷺ said, "Whoever follows the path in the pursuit of knowledge, Allah will make the path to Paradise easy for him"
(Sahih Muslim).
Five Rights of One Muslim on Another:

Hazrat Abu Hurairah RAA mentions that Messenger of Allah SAW said, "Every Muslim has five rights over another Muslim i.e.

(i) reply to Salam,
(ii) visit the sick,
(iii) attend funerals
(iv) accept invitations and
(v) respond to the sneezer

(SAHIH BUKHARI)

Who is the best Muslim:-

Some people asked Allah's Messenger (ﷺ), "Who is the best Muslim? He replied, "One who avoids harming the Muslims with his tongue and hands." And a Muhajir (migrant) is one who leaves what Allah has made haram

The Qur'an and the hadith have laid clear emphasis on the rights of parents, relatives, husband and wife, orphans, teachers, and neighbors.

Our treatment of our parents is most important of all aspects of haqooq-ul-ibad. Our treatment of our parents decides our future. The only instance you are allowed to disobey your parents is if your parent is ordering you to commit shirk, or a crime and go against the tenents of Islam.

Overall it is important to note that these rights are not exhaustive, and other specific rights and responsibilities are also mentioned in Islam. Sermon. The overall principle in Islam is to establish a just and compassionate society where the rights of individuals are protected and respected.
